Woman sewing People's Republic stars in Kazakh Village, Western China
This is a Uighur woman performing for tourists at an attraction in Western China called Kazakh Village. She is in traditional Uighur dress in a yurt, but embroidering stars like those in the flag of the People's Republic of China on a piece of fabric. The Han Chinese are swiftly moving into this region and displacing the ethnic Kazakh and Uighur people.
