Wildebeest Migration
After the Serengeti and Masai Mara, the second largest wildebeest migration takes place in north western Zambia. This migration has around 75,000 wildebeest that come into this area which has huge open grasslands and many watering holes at the beginning of the rainy season. Many mothers give birth along the migration and the newly born calves start running with the herd shortly after they can walk. This calf, which is a day old, has no trouble keeping up with her mother.
