Shackleford Banks in North Carolina is home to more than 100 wild horses. It is said that the horses descended from Spanish mustangs and have been living wild here for hundreds of years. To survive on these islands, the horses dig for freshwater and swim from island to island in search of fresh grazing areas. In the photo, the horses enter the public beach. If horses are not bothered they won't attack, some people didn't respect that.
