The first race of the first day of the 2023 H Class Champoinship regatta had been called for lack of wind. We were all sitting on our boats in the broiling sun. Some went swimming, others used their bailers to throw water over themselves. While we sat waiting for the wind, I started taking pictures. The wind eventually did come up. It changed direction and went from zero to twenty within a couple of minutes. We soared around the race course and were thoroughly soaked by the time we finished.
