Vanishing Point
I took this photo of my 5-year-old son running through a shade trellis at the National Park in Sharjah, UAE. I liked the clear linear perspective and shadow/light patterns made by the plants growing around the trellis. When I pulled it up for processing, I was struck by how well the strong perspective lines would create a Ponzo Illusion - an illusion in which the perception of depth (due to the converging lines) creates the illusion of a size difference between identical items that appear closer or farther away. So, I made a couple of copies of the figure (all are identical in size) to produce this illusion - which came through beautifully!
