Twilight over Sonoma Coast
Standing at the edge of the rugged Sonoma coastline, I could feel the cool breeze on my skin, and beneath my feet, the earth is sturdy (is it?) as the soft hues of twilight bathe the landscape. The sun had just dipped below the horizon, leaving the sky awash in gentle lavender, pink, and orange pastels. Below me, the waves crashed against the jagged rocks that stretched endlessly into the distance. The vibrant yellow lupines native to the area appeared surprisingly fresh, as most other wildflowers were gone by then.
