This photograph is meant to capture the essence of a candy shop. In the rough and stressful moments in our lives it can be hard to find peace. Even just little trips to candy stores can help us find some peace. The colors in the soda help evoke certain emotions in the viewer. Feelings of nostalgia are what I feel when I go into a candy shop. As we grow older, it seems our lives get busier and busier. I read somewhere that people 18-34 years old are struggling from mental health issues and burnout now more than ever. As a young adult who struggles with anxiety, I was feeling overwhelmed and it is things like going on walks with my camera that help me slow down. It is my hope that these images help all of us slow down and feel some peace in our busy, everyday lives.
