We had a few migrating robins passing through our backyard briefly on 10/6/2024, who were most likely on their way to Florida after they had been raising families in Canada earlier. This is one of the robins who was cooperative to allow me to shoot 3 poses of her at different angles, and I split it up to align as one picture, similar to a triptych. What stood out to me is how it looked like she was wearing a feathered mini skirt that flared out on one side. I don't know if it was due to the breeze that lifted her feathers, but that time of the evening going on 6:30 PM even the color cast looked different. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time outside to get this magical photo opportunity before they left the next day. I hope all the robins have a safe journey with good traveling weather and get to their destination safely.
