Tides Of Change

he skeletal form of the Casablanca jetty, bathed in the first light of dawn, stands as a silent sentinel. Its rusted iron ribs, once a sturdy guardian of wartime vessels, now reach skyward against the canvas of awakening light. The once proud structure, weathered and worn by time and tide, has transformed into a monument to resilience. Sunbeams dance across the fractured concrete, painting fleeting patterns on the jagged surface. Where waves once crashed against a sturdy barrier, now whispers of the ocean lap at forgotten stones. Seabirds wheel and cry overhead, their calls echoing through the emptiness, the only sound besides the rhythmic sigh of the sea. The salt-laced air carries the scent of history, of battles fought and stories untold. The jetty, etched with the passage of years, speaks of a time when it thrummed with life. Now, bathed in the golden light of sunrise, it transcends its utilitarian past, becoming a canvas for imagination. Imagine the soldiers who once walked these weathered stones, their faces etched with determination and fear. Imagine the clang of metal, the shouts of commands, the rumble of engines as vessels cleaved the waves. The jetty, once a witness to these moments, now holds them silent within its rusted embrace. But amidst the echoes of the past, there is also a sense of renewal. The sun paints the sky in vibrant hues, promising a new day. The ocean whispers of constant change, of waves eroding and rebuilding, reminding us that even ruins hold the potential for rebirth.
