The Spider

I had a dream about the movie The Birds (1963). I haven't watched it before but in recent times I have thought a lot about the movie and it's impact of implementing the horrors of nature, something that has always been seen as gentle and beautiful as opposed to a potential horrifying enemy. In the dream, I was in the boat with the female protagonist; Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren), when she was first struck by a seagull, and we were both shook by how absurd that was. The movie was in black and white in my dream for some reason, even though the actual movie is coloured. Upon reflecting on the dream and this impromptu picture that I took as I stepped out of the basilica and thought "that's a gorgeous view", I can only think now about what would happen if that spider came to life and sought retribution from society for allowing its creator to seal it to one spot rain or shine. Anyway, that would be tragic, also the clouds?? Breathtaking.
