The Real Thing

While on my trip to Mexico City, this picture was taken at the National Museum of Anthropology. It contained a lot of ancient civilization artifacts prior to the Spaniards, Aztecs, and Mayans. However, in the picture in the back you can see the actual Aztec calendar stone. As a first generation, Mexican, young latino in America, it was fulfilling. As someone who's only seen it on pictures, books, and jewelry, seeing the "real thing" in person had a different feeling and perspective. My trip to Mexico City solidified that I am descendent of greatness.
