"This is a photo of my 92-year-old Mom working at her sewing machine. She has been a quilter her entire life, like her mother before her. They lived in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky where nothing went to waste, not even scraps of fabric. Mom had a stroke 4 years ago that affected her eyesight, but she still attempts the pastime that has brought her so much pleasure over her lifetime."
