The Morning Parade

Ruddy Shelduck with its Fifteen chicks Summertime in Hanle, Ladakh is the breeding time for many birds and animals. In India, Ruddy Shelduck breeds here. Usually, a clutch of 8 eggs (ranging from 6 to 12) is laid by a female ruddy shelduck. But we were amazed to see 15 healthy chicks parading along the mother shelduck on a sunny morning at Hanle, Ladakh.
