In the small fishing village of Don Juan, Ecuador, a group of teenagers wait for the tide to go out so they can play their game of beach soccer, as they do every afternoon. Sport is the only distraction they have in this community far from the big cities. They dream of becoming great players and being able to go away to earn money. None of them want the same hard life as their parents and grandparents, poor and indebted fishermen who live from day to day.
