At the time, I was traveling in Samarkand, and all the travelers were marveling at the beauty and romance of the architecture, much like a fairy tale from 'One Thousand and One Nights.' But when I went to the market, what I saw were the people struggling to make a living, and their expressions were etched deeply in my mind. In my view, this city had no fairy tale.
