The farmer with golden fibre

Jute cultivation is widely spread by the river Ganges in West Bengal, India. Jute is known as the golden crop and is the source of livelihood for many farmers living in the Ganges delta. In this photograph a farmer is carrying the golden sticks of jute after a day’s harvest.
