The Eyes of a Mother
Anita and Sunita are a mother-daughter duo whom I stumbled across in the streets of Mandawa in Rajasthan, India. They are a part of a group of camel herders who were on their way back to their village. The watchful eyes of the mother looked out in the distance for any looming dangers while the innocent child snuggled up into her mother's body as a place of refuge. In Rajasthan, it is a custom for women to hide their faces under a veil while in public.
