I visited Codman Farm in October 2024. It's a community garden where my kids had planted a vegetable garden many years ago. I met a mother and her two children and asked if I could photograph them. There was one remaining pumpkin and the little girl sat on it while holding another toy. With all of the war and political conflict going on in our world, I felt like she needed to be seated on a dove as a kind of peacekeeper. It was an image that came to me quickly and suddenly and I later made a double exposure. Later, I sent digital photos to the mother.
