The citadel at Entrevaux

Walking along the defensive uphill pathway above the fortified medieval town of Entrevaux, France, in the mountains north of Nice. The hilltop citadel at the end of the path dates from the 17th century, when it was built by the Marshal of France to defend against Italian invaders from Nice who might use the Var River valley.
