The Birds
Every Spring cormorants fly in from Toronto's Tommy Thompson Park to Humber Bay Park. I first noticed this in 2020. I went out for sunrise at a favourite spot with the best view of Toronto's skyline in hopes that the cormorants would put on a show. They fly in by the hundreds, land in the water and then hover over Lake Ontario as they fly further west. We were still wearing masks in Toronto and was happy to be wearing it as the gnats were also out by the hundreds getting in my eyes, nose, lens, etc. Such a memorable morning!
