The Baby Dimondback
Hiking in the desert? Better watch your step, you might run over a tiny baby Western Dimondback (Crotalus Atrox). With a diameter of approximately 10 cm, beautiful color palette that mimics the desert floor and their usual nature of staying still, this babys usually go unnoticed for the tipical hiker. Mating occurs in the spring following emergence from hibernation. The gestation period lasts for 167 days.
