Sunrise over the Bentonite Hills
The Bentonite Hills are unique, colorful banded hills that were formed during the Jurassic Period. During different times of the day, the colors of this geological formation seem to change. I usually don't like people or shadows in landscape photography, but in this case both seemed to work in my favor. The girl that was standing on the lower hill cast a shadow on one of the hills in the background. This added a sense of scale and context to the image.
