Sunrise, Merkoryuk Alaska
This was taken very early during the long Alaskan sunrise over the Inuit Village of Merkoryuk, Alaska. The village is the very last one still thriving on Nunivak Island, about thirty five miles off the west coast of Alaska. The photo depicts the morning sun striking a row of colorful houses very near the village "boat boneyard".
