This photograph was taken at night in the Greek city of Sparta. I was exploring the city with my camera, and came across a new museum building that houses ancient artifacts. I took a variety of photographs of various sections of the outside architecture. This photograph especially interests me due to the ambiguous nature of what is depicted. One cannot really tell what kind of building, or section of a building is shown. The carefully chosen framing and emphasis of the repeating and similar forms create a sense of depth and further mystery. It is truly open for interpretation and it remains unclear what exactly one is looking at.
