Deep inside the forest of Almora, Uttarakhand lies this enchanting river known as "Shiva Jata Ganga". Translated to Ganga from dreadlocks of Lord Shiva. This beautiful and silent River is home to rich biodiversity. This river holds significant role in the lives of local people. Five villages dependent on this river for its fresh water and livelihood. Cremations on this river of local people are also done. This river flows right through the temple of Dandeshwar and Jageshwar in the state of Uttarakhand.
