Sixty Years of Perseverance in the Art of Black Pottery

Quanfu Zhang, an octogenarian, has been practicing black pottery for more than 60 years. Black pottery, born in China's Neolithic Age, is known as “the interpretation of fire and ten civilizations, the crystallization of power and beauty. Recently, the old man Quanfu Zhang of Wanquan Village, Gucheng Township, Wanrong County, Shanxi Province, is still making black pottery in a small, dark kiln. The old man engaged in the production of black pottery technology has been more than 60 years, from the heart of the love, he has been obsessive perseverance in this traditional craft.
