On an eaarly morning boat ride at Djoudj National Park, against an overcast sky, I espied a gnarled tree supporting a Cormorant drying its waterlogged feathers on its outspread wings. Four other Cormorants rested quietly nearby with beaks pointing out sideways completing a majestic silhouetted scene.
