Shades of Brown: Yellow-rumped Warbler and Poison Ivy

A yellow-rumped warbler forages on poison ivy berries in front of a salt marsh backdrop. When the temperatures drop and insects become harder to find, yellow-rumped warblers can switch to a berry-heavy diet. Poison ivy berries can be a desirable favorite food source in the fall, and the warblers then act as dispersers for the ivy's seeds.
