Seyilkan Temirova, pulls a cashmere goat back to her family’s pen in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, Tuesday, May 16, 2023. We often wear cashmere as a luxury item, yet we know little about the process and the production required to produce the raw material and process it into yarns. The series follows two families of herders and shepherds, and the factory that process the raw material in Kyrgyzstan. Documenting the hard labour that these families goes through yearly just for a few bags of the raw cashmere wool.
