Seagull hovering to perfectly position itself to drop a clam onto the rocks below
Seagulls will often catch a clam that is so encrusted it isn't easily opened. To remedy this, the gull will soar high up above a rocky shoreline, hover into position and then release the clam, sending it smashing onto the rocks below. The impact breaks the shell open and the gull will then fly down and enjoy a nice, meaty meal. Pretty clever, eh?
