Since Schoolhouse Beach on Washington Island was identified as the most romantic spot in Wisconsin, I'd always wanted to make a visit. This unique beach has no sand but instead is covered in smooth limestone rocks that massage the feet while walking. On the other hand, without the sand, some of the smooth limestone rocks could hurt one's feet so it is recommended to wear flip-flops to walk to the water.
