Scales of a Northern Pacific Rattlesnake
These scales belong to a dying Northern Pacific Rattlesnake - Crotalus oreganus - that was found on a road in Eastern Washington. It had been hit by a car, and was so beautiful that I wanted to capture how gorgeous its scales were.
