Roseate Spoonbill Landing

Roseate Spoonbill Landing In March the Roseate Spoonbills start to collect sticks for their nests. Get to Stick Marsh before sunrise and get in position to start to photograph the Spoonbills landing at the Stick Marsh boat ramp. They roost on the protected small islands in the marsh. At dawn they fly across the water to the airboat ramp to collect stils for their nets. They continue to do this for a couple of hours. That's when this image of a Roseate Spoonbill was captured just before landing on the edge of the boat ramp. Notice the interleved wings forming a upside down heart.
