Photograph of blooming rhododendrons against a backdrop of redwood trees on a foggy morning in Redwoods National Park, in the northern California coast. Taken along the trail in the early morning fog, the rhododendrons bloom in late May and early June adding a colorful display of pink and red shades to the green forest. Despite those colors, I thought this image worked best in black and white.
