A baby donkey stands next to its home near Sani Pass, Lesotho. Lesotho is a landlocked country in southern Africa, completely surrounded by South Africa. Most small farmers can afford neither tractors nor motorized transport so farmers and transporters are increasingly using donkeys for cultivation, transport and for income generation.
