Two craters of the Sudhnúkur volcano erupt powerfully into the night on Iceland’s Reykjanes Peninsula. Captured from a small Cessna plane, the shot was carefully planned to achieve the desired angles while staying safely close to the action. This approach not only allowed me to photograph this spectacular moment but also to experience its raw intensity up close.
