This photo is of a raised pier in Bar Harbor. It was taken on an early evening in September as my friend and I watched the boats come in and out of the harbor. I especially liked, from the point where I was standing, the angle of the honey-colored pier dividing the blue water and sky and liked the way the boats and islands lined the horizon.
