Rainbow on a Reed
With their vivid fusion of blue, green, yellow, and red, male Painted Buntings seem to have flown straight out of a child’s coloring book. They start to show up in south Florida in early autumn and they stay throughout Winter and Spring. This male bunting is taking a break while foraging in a weedy field next to water.
