Promontory Point

Promontory Point is where the first transcontinental railroad was completed in 1869. The Union Pacific and the Central Pacific Railroads arranged for 2 locomotives to meet pilot-to-pilot as part of the completion ceremony. The 2 locomotives were Union Pacific's "No. 119" & the Central Pacific's no. 60 "Jupiter.
