PERITO MORENO GLACIER
The Perito Moreno glacier, an Argentine glacier, extends from the Southern Patagonian ice field, on the border between Argentina and Chile, to the southern arm of Lake Argentino, being five kilometers wide and 60 meters high. It is one of the most imposing glaciers and has been called the "eighth wonder of the world", due to the view from its top. Located in an area surrounded by forests and mountains, it is within the Los Glaciares National Park, created in 1937 in the province of Santa Cruz, located in the south of Argentina. This 724,000-hectare park has a total of 356 glaciers.
