I saw this female cheetah and her cub in South Africa's Kruger National Park in June 2024. We had been on a game drive trying to track a leopard walking down a dirt road near the Mopani Rest Camp without any luck. As we gave up the track and returned to the tar road we saw the two cheetahs walking right at us. It had rained earlier that morning, and the two cats strolled along the road, remarking territory. The mother hopped onto a stone block with road signs and surveyed her territory about 20' from us without a care in the world.
