People are rowing a boat in the Arches Pool in Ramla

06/17/2023 Ramla, Israel. People row a boat at Arches Pool in Ramla. The Arches Pool is an underground pool for water storage located in the north of the city of Ramla and which was excavated during the time of Harun al-Rashid (763-809), the fifth caliph of the House of Abbas. Ramla is a city where Jews live alongside Palestinians, and also a relatively backward city. The Arches Pool is a souvenir from the city's heyday.
