Patriotic July 4th Beach Girl

This was taken at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base, CA on the 4th of July. Staff were painting free patriotic body art, and this teen, the 16 year old granddaughter of two disabled veterans, proudly displayed her arms with a red, white and blue shooting star, and a peace sign--the goal of the U.S. Marines hosting this event. This smiling beauty with the long, sea-breeze blown hair, sunglasses, and roped bracelets in her casual clothing, standing on the beach framed by palm trees, is 1] a patriot, 2] a youthful citizen our military protects, 3] the future of our country, and finally, 4] the quintessential native California girl, like in the "Beach Boys" famous classic song lyric --"I wish they all could be California girls..."
