Paths to Pillars

South Caroliniana Library dominates the Horseshoe, and though it may seem like a long walk across, it is very worthwhile. This 1840 structure designed by Robert Mills (who did the US Capitol) was the first such repository of its kind in the South, and it still holds some of the most amazing and historic collections today. Thus it remains integral to daily state-school life and research.
