I had the opportunity to meet the locals of Teotitlan Del Valle, a village outside of Oaxaca City. We were lead by a photography workshop host who is from the village and introduced us to her community and family members. On this day, she invited us to a family friend's home where this couple showed us their weaving loom and rugs. As the family graciously gave us a tour of their home that holds all their rugs and artifacts, the grandson ran out of his room and went to his grandfather to be picked up. He was shy around us strangers so he looked to his grandfather for comfort.
