Monarch Butterflies Overwintering in Pacific Grove California

Monarchs gather in Pacific Grove California, resting in the warmth of this small coastal town. The like the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary here in Pacific Grove. Their journey of over 1000 miles from Mexico, the many obstacles lay in their path, including pesticides and predators. Their flight can reach altitudes over 10,000 feet. They gather in clusters for warmth in the mild winter temperatures of the Califonia Central Coast. They are turly amazing insects.
