The photo is showing a scene with my partner and her headlamp lighting up the foreground and the Milky-way overhead. The photo was taken at Iceberg lake at the top of Bow Falls in the Canadian Rockies. My partner and I travelled up to this spot during the day time and waited until twilight fell to capture the image. The sky remained clear until the Milky Way came into full view. In this day and age dark skies have been something that we have lost due to light pollution from the cities. Luckily in places like the Canadian Rockies, dark skies are preserved allowing us to connect back to the stars, nature and that sense of awe of our place in the universe.
