Calm and Wisdom in those Deep Brown Eyes

Near our house, my young daughter would ask if we could ride every day to visit this beautiful and majestic, fire coloured horse - who would cautiously observe us from afar. For days we beckoned the horse, with soft kind words, whilst he edged closer, but cautiously, very cautiously. Until one day, he stood calmly, wisely and contentedly in front of my daughter - quietly, calmly, wisely, contentedly meeting each other for the first time - and I wondered what they would both do. My daughter stood happily, daring only to breathe gently, feeling privileged to be so close to such a magnificent, beautiful soul and gazed, full of wonder into his deep, brown eyes, so full of knowledge and wisdom. I can only believe that this stunning was doing the same as he contentedly stood there and gazed right back into my daughters own beautiful, appreciative, deep brown eyes. I had to capture and remember this precious privilege of a moment forever… and we have never forgotten it… for a firm friendship was born that day, never to be taken for granted, and only to be regarded with great awe.
