Lone Stupa in the Mountains

Ladakh Region in the northwestern end of India borders with Pakistan and Tibet, China. A significant part of Ladakh population is of Tibetan origin with Tibetan sect of Buddhism the major religion there. Tibetan-like monasteries and other architecture such as stupas around the Ladakh Region can easily give travellers the wrong impression that they are in Tibet.
