22nd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Artistic
Life
One flower, one blade of grass, one tree, one grain of sand, one speck of dust—everything in this world flows and cycles endlessly... I attempt to use flowers as a medium to explore life and time through photography. In this photo, I documented the entire process of a sunflower from blooming to wilting over six days, and process them in the photoshop. The image presents a chaotic state, exuding warm classical romantic colours and aesthetic mood, which is also an attempt to creative flower photography. The work was taken from July 21st to July 26th, 2022, and finally completed in March 2024.
